For security purposes, only one of the endpoints in an V-NET account can be assigned the role of "Controller" at a time. An accessor of a controller endpoint is more privileged in managing a the overall account settings then from other endpoints.

The initial controller role is assigned to the first endpoint through which the user use to register the account. It is transferable through the current controller endpoint to other endpoints belonging to the same account network. Such a role should be assigned to an endpoint on a device that user has sole access right so that the user has complete control of his/her network.

In the absent of a controller for some reasons (like controller endpoint gets deleted by the system in response to the request of the user) each endpoint in an network will have the role of controller until a new controller is selected by the user.
